The IGS Anti-Spam System can be configured to scan each message destined
for your mailbox or an external e-mail address.
The contents are compared with common key words and phrases often used
by senders of unsolicited E-mail. Each match of a key word or phrase
increases the "Spam Score" of the message. If the "Spam Score" exceeds the
sensitivity level
that you define, the message will be either
tagged or
deleted according to the
action you specified. You may even use a combination of both tag and
delete where messages up to a defined sensitivity level
are tagged, and then automatically deleted at some higher and above
defined level.
The most common way to get lots of junk e-mail, and therefore should
be avoided, is by responding to such mail. In general, responding to
junk e-mail, especially the ones that claim you can be removed from
their mailing list, is the best way to get more junk mail. The best
thing to do with junk e-mail is delete it, do NOT repsond.
