Suppose A, B and C represent three towns, and G, H and J are points in-between the towns. For each point, which town is closest ?

Faintly draw in the lines CD, DE and CE.

Calculate the midpoints and mark them on the diagram.

Calculate the slopes of the three lines, then the slopes of the perpendiculars to these lines. Record your results in the table below.

The perpendicular bisectors should meet at one point somewhere in the middle of the grid.

Erase the original lines and the parts of the right bisectors beyond where they meet.

Complete the following statements :
