"Perfins" (from perforated insignia) are stamps that have been punched with holes that identify the owner of the stamp. This practice was intended to prevent the theft and resale of stamps from companies' mail rooms.

This site lists the Canadian perfins of the Victorian Era that I am aware of, and shows examples where possible. To view the perfins used by each company, click on the links to the left.
