Overall Strategy: [Top]

Not a poor boy but a weak boy! The UK has many empty territories around the world. Africa is threatened by Germany, India and Australia by Japan. Only Canada and Great Briton are relatively safe.

Strategies: Germany first! The only Factory it can use is in England. By building a large fleet it can help the USSR survive and keep Africa in its sphere of power.

If Germany destroys the UK fleets. Move the Fighters and Bomber to Russia and buy a new Bomber and save the IPCs for the future fleet. Do this a few times/turns and the UK should save up about 40 IPCs. The following turn do not buy anything (another 20-30 IPCs saved) and on the following turn buy an Aircraft Carrier and 4 Transports (=50 IPCs). Have the US move a Fighter(s) on the new Carrier (for defense) and replace these with UK Fighters at a leter time. Then purchase Infantry and Armour for invading/reinforcing Karelia. The US can move a Transport or two as well into the UK sea zone and transport men from Canada.

If Germany does not destroy the fleet move it to US waters for safety (probably just a Battleship left). And save IPCs for one turn only and buy a large fleet on the next turn. Do the same as above but just earlier!

Once a fleet is available the UK can easily attack Algeria and regain Africa if it is lost. And can from there threaten Southern Europe. Also Western Europe can be attacked to create the second front desired by the USSR to stop Germany from throwing everything at the east!

India Factory Gambit. This is a costly gamble. Move all Fighters to India and purchase three Infantry each turn there. Also move the African or Australian forces to India for defense. This will require the Japanese to send its fleet and many Infantry to Indo-china Burma. If the US can move its fleet to the North it may be able to quickly land men in the Soviet Far East. The USSR also needs to send at least four Infantry to help defend India and may be required to send more each turn.

All in all the India gambit will, if played correctly and with luck, eject the Japanese from Asia and deprive it of nine IPCs (will then only get 16 IPCs per turn). However this leaves Germany with little pressure on it for three or four turns and can attempt to conquer the USSR. Once Japan is beaten down the UK must quickly move against Germany and send some forces to Africa (if Germany has units there) and the Caucasus from India. The investment will mean 15 IPCs which could be a Bomber or five Infantry or almost two Transports.

See Spain in the Strategy: Strategic Points section for an option.

First Moves: [Top]

Japan slowed down. With the USSR's attack on Manchuria and a USSR Fighter on China, we have an opportunity to inflict damage on Japan. By using the India sea zone Transport with two Infantry and the Fighter form India, the UK can attack Kwangtung and land its Fighter in China!!! Now the US will have the opportunity to keep its Chinese Fighter and all of the Fighters can retreat to Russia when the Japanese (eventually) gain the orient.

Algeria from Canada. Or French West Africa. The Armour can attack the weak German forces in Africa. (and lay the groundwork for a similar US landing(s)).

Bombers on Russia to attack German Factories (SBR in passing) and any new Japanese Factories!

Alternate Targets in the First Move: [Top]

Finland-Norway can be a target depending on what forces are available. The airforce and a Transport with two Infantry can inflict damage or even take the territory.

Africa: The Indian Transport can move men to Egypt to counter attack a German win there.

Australia: The Indian Transport can move to these forces for pick up the following turn but the Japanese Submarine would be in range.

Western Europe: If the fleet was intact (one or more Battleships and one or more Transports). A quick shot can force Germany to reinforce to the west and thus allow less forces to the east giving the USSR some time early in the game.

Bad Dice: [Top]

For the UK this does not matter too much as the empty empire will be taken by the Axis if they have time. The UK has time to build up a fleet and an air force as it is safe in its island fortress.

The India gambit can be costly as many IPCs will be tied up here and this may allow Germany to conquere the USSR as the USSR must also try and support India. If the battle for India goes badly then Japan will gain a Factory and the USSR will probably be defeated shortly thereafter.
